So unless I can do something to bind it to me or restrain it I risk losing it every time I get off. The thing is that whenever I dismount it has a habit of wandering off. It's sort of taken me by surprise as I assumed that it would be ages before I could afford to Skyrim horse riding one. But I haven't got a clue what to do with it. Anyway, after a few more adventures I have returned to Riverwood on my new horse. Up to that point I didn t relaise that my character knew how to ride. I managed to sneak up to the horse without starling it, and having looted the corpse of the bandit, discovered that I could actually mount and ride the horse. My character is only level 3, but I was exploring the hills around Riverwood and discovered a dead bandit lying beside the road with a horse standing next to him.
